iTunes Redesign

iTunes interface
As technology becomes more complex and sophisticated, interface designers must balance business needs with consumer needs, while also following good display design principles and incorporating cognitive ergonomic concepts. It is a delicate balance that aims to present interfaces that are intuitive and easy-to-use. Understanding cognitive ergonomics substantially impacts how decision-making and problem solving is supported in complex domains through the design of user-centered technologies and representations. Although the iTunes does a very good job in assisting users in accomplishing their tasks, opportunities for improvements exist. Upgrades to functionality can be incorporated to simplify tasks and allow the users more freedom and flexibility to customize iTunes according to their own preferences. Continuous improvements must be made over time to keep up with changing technologies and changes in users preferences.
